It has finally arrived! Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 1 is the continuation of the series featuring Eleven, Will, Eggos, The Upside-Down, and all the 80’s nostalgia you can handle. A new threat has arrived in Hawkins, and it’s up to the gang both living across the country in California and still at Hawkins, to stop it. I want to delve into more but obviously spoiler-free I need to keep this as vague as possible. Answers are given, battles fought, and a new chapter in the Stranger Things saga is not only taking the tone to a darker, and more emotional place, but this could be the strongest season since season one (depending on how Vol. 2 goes).

Millie Bobby Brown once again crushes it here, her character has lots of choices she has to make, and her story is super emotional, heartbreaking, and empowering all at once. I really enjoy how they divide up the storylines this season, and it seems the Duffer brothers were able to utilize the additional time to craft the story to their advantage. We have more of an understanding of this world in this season possibly than any other. I love the homage in this season to A Nightmare on Elm Street, the use of red and a more supernatural tone really makes this season more terrifying than we’ve seen before.

Keeping this short for now, but later after everyone’s had a chance to watch it, I’ll elaborate more on certain plot points and characters that just blew me away with their performances. Everyone is on their A-game this season and it shows. Overall for the first have of season 4 I can say I’m VERY excited to see how this concludes. There are all the things you’ve loved from the previous seasons but with more scares, and more answers, and I had a great time binging through it in the past couple of days.

More to come!
