‘Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar’ is the new comedy from Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo and is about two middle aged women taking a vacation to Vista Del Mar and having to stop a plot to destroy the town by Jamie Dornan and a villain (played by Wiig). This film has already been widely praised by it’s real-life cartoony humor and impressive performances by the two leads. As well, Jamie Dornan has a scene full of charisma, and gives us something nobody thought our ’50 Shades of Grey’ stud could give us, a musical number.
While I did not have a good time with the film as a whole, I did enjoy the moments that many others are praising. The issue I have is in the stories overall confusing pace and story. Know that before clicking on the review below, I may have a widely different view of this film than others do.
